Right, time for an update, don't you think?

Got some work done on the engine today and yesterday, finally.

First of all, I found out that the Apexi head gasket didn't match the stock one a 100%, so I'm going to use the stock one, and the 87mm bore don't seem to cause any problems at all.

Here you can se the difference between the two gaskets, notice the holes that is missing on the Apexi gasket, compared to the stock one.

Removing the valve lifters.

New Brian Crower double valve springs and titanium retainers, will be needing this if I'm going to rev somewhere between 9000 and 10.000RPM.

Hello again fellas, I'm back!

I have to inform you that the project have been put on hold because of financial problems, and it doesn't look too good for the future either, I just bought myself a house.
BUT! I'm starting to get the VE feeling again, I WANT TO COMPLETE THIS BUILD! There is a double garage at the new place I bought, so I believe I can take the GT back home again, instead of leaving it outside at my work! After all we have been through, she deserves better than that!

Thanks!

By the way, I'm stuck at one point with the VE build, I keep struggling to get the valve shim clearance right, it's a pain in the ass! Anyone have a "how to guide" for me?

It's a pain in the assignment getting the clearance right, I've spent about 30-40 hours trying and I'm still where I started!
