Primera GTSE P11: Mystic Stig

FINALLY! I got the car I always wanted.

First thing is first. A bit of history.

The car has been fitted with NOS! But will be removed, there is some other goodies too such as a Fusion Sub and Amp as well as DVD player and so on. I may keep some of it.

She was a non-runner, hence I purchased it so cheap. It took 1 hour and I had the problems resolved. The engine is now running but does not sound the healthiest. I am old it has performance cams in it, I will know this when I remove them whether they are or not.

Wiring is a big issue with it, this is the main reason the engine did not run, I still have a lot of wires to repair, and to be honest I might just replace it with a new internal loom. I have other modification plans so will do this at the same time.

Passenger foot well is wet - Problem is no grommets on firewall, and you can see into the engine bay.

So...The Brakes are shot, Clutch is shot, engine is shot, wiring is shot, both kingpin bearings are shot, Sounds like fun eh?

The body is in good condition and is solid underneath, There are some cosmetic problems with the paint work, Will deal with them, and at some point a full respray will be done.

The car will be getting done the same as our VZR, A complete overhaul. I do have a lot of parts spare from my old GT so it helps a lot.

I don't like the interior, I luckily have half decent Half Leather seats. So will be going to use them.

Anyways I will update as I go along.

Here is when I first seen the car...

Won't be big boost, but it will be a monster N/A, I will be putting in our VE which came from the pulsar in the meantime.

Well yesterday I gave the car a damn good wash, the shite that came off it was a joke. Surprisingly the rear arches are in mind condition though.

I tried to connect up my Nistuned ECU which was supposed to have NATS removed, unfortunately the engine refuses to start with it. I have a feeling NATS keeps kicking in with it. I have sent an e-mail off to Nistune to see what is what. A potential option is to solder the Nistune Board into the Primera's working ECU.

Some pics with the Pulsar.

Well today was all ECU bloody woes! Contacted Matt from Nistune, told me IMMU needs disconnecting, Done this and same problem.

Now turns out the Almera GTi NATS box and ECU is a direct fit. The old H-Dev chip which was mapped for the VE the first time connected right up, Fitted the NATS module and key chip and boom, started without a problem.

I tried Fee's VZR's Almera ECU in the Primera, EML flashes as expected and engine runs without problems.

Put my Primera Nistuned ECU in the VZR, still wont start. So I have let Matt know.

One option would be to remove Nistune from that ECU and fit it into the current ECU. As the ECU has the same part numbers it should be a direct fit and base image would be the same.

EDIT:- Good News, Matt as Nistune asked to send back the ECU, Really can not fault there support.

So looks like my ECU has arrived with Nistune, hopefully I will get it back soon.

I plan on fitting the engine come summer time, everything looks pretty straight forward to do thankfully so no major issue there.

The NOS Kit has been fully removed, as has all the dodgy wiring, I am contemplating just getting a brand new Dash loom, Saves repairing it all as Main thick Ignition wiring has all been spliced.
