One of the many things to be done.

The good news is though my ECU from Nistune arrived back today, Will test it at the weekend. Can't fault the guys at Nistune.

So I got my new ECU back from Nistune a couple of weeks ago, I thought I would go and test it and make sure it works.

Disconnected the IMMU, Disconnected the Halo, Plugged in the ECU, and started the car....Lasted 3 seconds and cut out! NATS kicked on! So as you can imagine I was a little pissed off! Everytime I cleared the code though it would start for 2 seconds and die. So at least the codes were clearing this time.

Anyways I thought I would try putting the IMMU back in, but thinking this wont work as it is not paired with the ECU, I put ignition on, EML light still flashing, I attempted to start anyways and she fired up and ECU cleared the code itself! So she runs well with it. I uploaded the VE Map for it and map changing works.

I checked under the rocker cover to look for performance cams....Shite! Those bolts were a James hunt to move and when I got the cover off, Standard Nissan Cams. I also soaked the rad support bolts in WD40 too.

I decided to do a little work on the GTSE today. I took off the wheels to sort the problem with the rims not fitting properly, The rust was pretty bad and also some old like melted in plastic that was jammed on the hubs which I think came from the old wheels. They were all brown and such so they looked like rust. Anyways I used a wire brush, and cleaned them all, including the wheel studs, they came up like new. The wheels now sit correctly now. Just need to get more wheel nuts.

I also gave it a bloody good clean again, Since the sun was shining I thought why not. Came out not too bad...

One of the rear wheels had a puncture, as it was lowered it was a nightmare to get the jack up...I did manage it though.

So tried to move those bloody rad support bolts yesterday, unfortunately when they move the rust is buckling, which means now that the front rad support needs replacing. Will be asking my body guy some prices.

The Conversion had now begun, This was the last video of the car running a DE.

Some of the Pictures also. The front end has had a bit of a tap. also the rad support and so on is all rotten. Luckily this is to be replaced.

Some of the Pictures for the start of the Project. The next time it comes out the Garage it will be on VE power.

So made a good start on the Primera, Engine will be out soon, Started stripping down the suspension, which is being a pain in the ass. Also looked at the chassis and looks no bad, I took the heat shield off also, and found that the spring on the gear lever assembly was snapped. Anyways some pics.

So I was planning on going up to get more work done to the car today, then the heavens opened.

So I thought I would get wired into the Loom. I added new wires in for the Greddy MSS and Solenoids so it is all tidy. I also added a fuse block for them too. I just need to add the Solenoid wires and a waterproof plug near the ECU and solder some wires from the RPM signal. I then proceeded to remove all the old tape, and re-cover the whole loom so it looks a little more pretty. This also included checking all connections and wires for damage.

Also thanks to Jon on NPOC for the new GT springs which arrived today. they look good so I am contemplating getting some power coating done.

Some pics of the day.

So the other day there I disconnected the final pipes and removed the alternator and air con unit. The engine is now ready to come out. This will be done between Thursday and Friday next week.

I also prepared the new engine ready for installation, The wiring loom is mostly connected, I fitted the Clutch I will be using which is a OEM plate with XTD backplate. When I fitted the clutch one of the bloody bolts snapped. I had to remove the whole flywheel again, I managed to drill a 2mm deep hole on the broken bolt and hammer in an old torx bit, it then ratcheted out without a problem.

New engine ready....
