i tried hard braking at 140MPH, it was fine till i was down to 70 and the friction just faded away

I am gonna try Redstuff brake pads, that should hopefully resolve the issues

never tried them, but i heard good things about EBC so will go for them.

wouldn't use EBC... would look at the following first for lower or near same prices...
hawk, Mintex(1155/1166) and the higher grades of ferodo/bendix
